High Temperature Transducer

Dual element ultrasonic transducer designed for high-temperature, “in-service” thickness measurements and corrosion surveys across oil and gas, refining, energy and process sectors. This transducers great wear resistance allows for use on hot surfaces up to 570ºF. Measures remaining wall thickness from 0.06 inch all the way up to 9.8 inches - depending on temperature and material.

This is a twin element ultrasonic transducer designed for high-temperature, in-service thickness measurements and corrosion surveys across oil & gas, refining, energy and process sectors.

No cooling period required – vastly reducing inspection time and facilitating effective measurement.

For use on hot surfaces up to 570ºF (300ºC).

Measures remaining wall thickness from 0.06 inch to 9.8 inch (1.5 mm to 250 mm) – depending on temperature and material.

The Cygnus High Temperature Transducer can be used with the following thickness meters to measure remaining wall thickness of high-temperature, in-service assets without shutdown or isolation:

  • Cygnus 4+ General Purpose with live A-scan, intuitive menu and sequential data logging for easy reporting and analysis
  • Cygnus 6+ PRO boasting a full range of useful features for professional users, including A-scan, B-scan, comprehensive data logging and temperature compensation feature.

Temperature Transducer Cables

There are 2 options of cable to use with the high temperature transducer- the standard cable or the more robust, braided cable:
