Compatible Probes

Our range of ATEX gauges is designed to cater to diverse needs, each variant offering unique capabilities. Except for the TC (Twin Crystal) variant, all are compatible with single crystal probes, ideal for recording measurements in multiple echo mode.

On the other hand, except for the SC (Single Crystal) variant, they work seamlessly with twin crystal probes. These twin crystal probes are especially adept at measuring heavily corroded metals in single echo or echo-echo modes, offering unparalleled accuracy.

This versatility in our ATEX products ensures that whatever your specific requirement, we have a solution tailored just for you. Explore our ATEX certified range to find the perfect fit for your needs.

Available Variants

In the realm of ATEX certified gauges, we offer four distinct variants, each designed to cater to specific industry needs:

  • SC Variant: Exclusively for single crystal use, featuring 1- & 2-point calibration, a materials list, measurement hold, and the specialised Deep Coat mode.
  • TC Variant: Dedicated to twin crystal use, equipped with 1- & 2-point calibration, a materials list, measurement hold, and convenient auto probe detection.
  • PLUS Variant: A versatile option for both single and twin Crystal use, encompassing all the measuring modes of the SC and TC, plus additional features.
  • PRO Variant: The ultimate choice in our ATEX gauge line-up, combining all features of the PLUS variant and enhancing them with high-temperature Ex Probe capability and advanced data logging.

Each variant is meticulously crafted to ensure precision in explosive atmospheres, offering a tailored approach to your ATEX gauge requirements.

Understanding ATEX Certification for Explosive Atmospheres

ATEX certification, a crucial benchmark, is essential for equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres. This certification ensures that the equipment, including ATEX thickness gauges, meets stringent requirements for use in hazardous environments.

ATEX, an abbreviation derived from the French phrase “Atmosphères Explosibles,” is a European Union directive that standardizes the equipment intended for explosive atmospheres across member countries. It provides a unified approach to security, ensuring that all ATEX tools, like the ATEX thickness gauges, comply with rigorous safety standards.

This certification is not just a label; it’s a guarantee of reliability. With ATEX certification, you can trust that the equipment has undergone thorough testing and inspection, designed to withstand the rigors of explosive atmospheres, making ATEX tools a vital part of ensuring workplace security in hazardous areas.

Key Features of ATEX Certified Gauges

ATEX gauges, designed for environments with explosive atmospheres, are more than just regular measuring tools. They’re engineered with key features that ensure safety and precision under challenging conditions.

Firstly, these gauges possess intrinsic safety, meaning they’re designed to prevent sparking and overheating that could ignite flammable gases. This is crucial in industries like oil and gas, where the risk of explosion is high.

Moreover, ATEX gauges are known for their robust build and reliability. They’re constructed to withstand harsh environments, ensuring longevity and consistent performance. Their accuracy is another highlight, providing precise measurements crucial for maintaining the integrity of structures and machinery in hazardous areas.

Additionally, many ATEX gauges, including models like the Cygnus 1, offer compatibility with a range of probes, making them versatile for different applications. This adaptability, combined with their rugged design, makes them indispensable tools in high-risk industries.
